‘In Our Backyard’ | Aspect Riverina (Wagga Campus)
Aspect Schools offer dynamic, individualised learning for students with a caring and nurturing approach. As leaders in education for students on the autism spectrum, Aspect has over 50 years’ experience in providing autism-specific schooling in Australia. Aspect’s students benefit from experience and research into how to best support people on the autism spectrum. Aspect’s evidence-informed approach aims to give students the best opportunities possible.
Students from Aspect Riverina, Wagga Campus visited Unique State over three weeks to create artworks looking at the region’s tiniest living creatures – insects. Students from Kindergarten, Stages 1, 2 and 3 drew butterflies, bees, beetles, mosquitos, dragonflies and grasshoppers, then exposed their drawings onto colourful sun-printed backgrounds. Everyone loved participating and artists added bright colours and details when the artwork dried. They might be small, but they are mighty and are just as precious to the ecosystem!
Aspect Riverina – Wagga Satellite Classes (Charles Sturt University) opened at their new site in 2023, the campus is situated within Charles Sturt University. Aspect schools are registered and accredited. They follow the NSW Curriculum and carefully adapt learning based on each individual student’s strengths, interests and needs.
Participating Artists: Abhay, Andrew, Archer, Brendan, Charlie, Eli, George, Gracie, Henry, Nash, Noah, Spencer, Teddy, Tom and Will.
