‘In Our Backyard’ | The Leisure Company
The Leisure Company is a not-for-profit organisation that has been operating for over 30 years, an NDIS-registered provider with an excellent reputation for delivering exceptional service to people with disabilities. The Leisure Company offers individually tailored and flexible 1:1 support and strives to assist all in achieving their goals.
Group activities offered to participants create opportunities to build friendships whilst enjoying activities with like-minded people. The Leisure Company works closely with the local community to improve inclusion and access for people with disabilities and has been attending Unique State Art Space in 2023 for weekly group art therapy sessions.
Artists worked together to create a series of koalas inspired by the koala-filled gum trees in Narrandera for the ‘In Our Backyard’ mural. Working across painted monoprints, pastel and watercolour drawings, each artist contributed a koala and a unique gum tree.
