Operation Backpack has now ended

Thank you to our local community

Operation Backpack has now ended!

We’d like to say a very big thank you to our local community for supporting our annual Operation Backpack initiative.  Hundreds of back to school supplies have been kindly donated which will help local children in need get back to school with all the essentials.

Over the coming weeks, all donated supplies will be delivered to local families by the wonderful St Vincent de Paul Society volunteers.

Operation Backpack School Grant Programme has ended!

This year, we were excited to include our local primary schools to help strengthen and support the communities that have always supported us. By voting for a participating local primary school via a QR code, you were giving them the chance to win a share in $3,500 to go towards a project for 2021.

Three participating schools were – Wagga Wagga Public School, Ashmont Public School and Turvey Park Public School

Your votes have been tallied and the school grants will be awarded as follows;

Highest votes – $2,000 – Awarded to Ashmont Public School

Second Highest votes – $1,000 – Awarded to Turvey Park Public School

Third Highest votes – $500 – Awarded to Wagga Wagga Public School
