Meet the Artist: Bec Denholm
With the winding Murrumbidgee River as inspiration for this artwork, young artist Bec Denholm says it quickly became the perfect vehicle to encourage our eyes to move across the mural.
Taking 20 hours to design and 78 hours to paint, this 11.1 metre long free flowing colourful and eclectic collaboration of Wagga Wagga landmarks is a quirky perspective of our very own backyard.
This stunning whimsical artwork has created a bright and positive space for our customers to stop and admire. Specialising in mixed media paintings and mural art, check out her other work on Instagram @binx_designs.
Check out Bec’s bio below, along with a time-lapse video of her bringing the mural to life.
‘Specialising in Mixed Media paintings and Mural art I have been a practicing Artist in the Riverina area now for 10+ years. My work is a free flowing exploration of my many interests and things that inspire me, which includes textiles, pattern, nature and nostalgia, nothing is off limits and no stone is to be left unturned – however infusing every piece I work on with a sense of soul and freedom is something they all have in common and definitely my major goal overall.’
